St. Philip’s Centre
Empowering young people from a variety of backgrounds to grow in understanding and living well together

We engage with around 10,000 young people every year in schools and colleges, particularly in the East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England and South Yorkshire

Through carefully designed interactive programmes, we create an environment where young people and teachers can ask questions, develop insight and challenge assumptions thoughtfully. Designed to support and enhance the curriculum, our sessions are adaptable for a variety of subjects, including Religious Education and PSHE.

Our programmes include faith assemblies, full-day roadshows and visits, as well as a suite of e-programmes that can be delivered remotely. They are led by our diverse team of experienced faith practitioners, who are skilled at communicating both the core principles and the lived realities of their traditions.

“Engaging, enlightening, and empowering – our day with the St Philip’s Centre was nothing short of transformative! Ours was a gathering of eager young minds from schools that often find the door to interfaith exploration firmly shut, primarily due to cost barriers. However, thanks to the St Philip’s Centre, we were invited into a world infused with diverse beliefs and vibrant narratives.

The sessions brought forth a kaleidoscope of faith traditions, each facilitated by knowledgeable and compassionate individuals who seamlessly connected with our children. It was a joy to witness the students not just listening, but truly engaging, asking questions and embracing new perspectives.”

Our Other Areas Of Work

Building understanding between faiths

Courses for church groups - Our work is rooted in the church and its values. We help faith communities live well together by learning from one another, finding common ground and building relationships.

At the heart of our work are our diverse religious and belief communities.

Our work with communities - We serve them in a number of ways through public benefit activities which include charity days, integration initiatives over food, roundtable discussions, lectures and seminars.

Helping the public sector to serve communities

Training for public sector and business - Over the past 12 years, St Philip’s Centre has educated hundreds of police recruits, as well as the army, prison service, corporations and the public sector.
