Near Neighbour Support Worker


Fixed-term (6 month) contract

St Philip’s Centre, Leicester is seeking a Near Neighbours Support Worker to provide temporary cover for sick leave taken by the Near Neighbours Officer.

The post holder’s role will be to:

 Develop and co-ordinate the Near Neighbours programme in Leicester and Nottingham;

  • Initiate, support and strengthen associations between people and groups of different faiths and people of no faith;
  • Oversee and administer the Near Neighbours grants and training programmes locally;
  • Oversee and administer the delivery of the Near Neighbours ‘Real People, Honest Talk’ programme in Leicester and Nottingham.

The post holder will be based at St Philip’s Centre, 2a Stoughton Drive North, Leicester LE5 5UB.

The salary is £32 000 pro rata

The post is a full-time post, on a fixed term six-month contract.
