On Tuesday 5th December, the St Philip’s Centre was pleased to host some of the thirty-four families that had taken part in our recent “Faiths, Forces and Food” project. This initiative saw members of Leicester’s diverse faith communities host members of the armed forces in their homes for meals during interfaith week 2017. Colonel Stuart Williams of 7th Brigade (the Desert Rats) praised those who took part, thanking them for the energy and enthusiasm they brought to the project. We at the St Philip’s Centre are particularly pleased to learn that the initial engagements that we helped facilitate have led to strong friendships being formed and participants in the project making further plans to meet up to continue developing their friendships.
