On Wednesday 3rd October, the Centre Director, Tom Wilson accompanied Bishop Guli on her first visit to Loughborough University. We were welcomed to the Centre for Faiths and Spirituality by the coordinating chaplain, Revd Jan Sutton, and engaged in conversation with chaplains, academics, university staff and students from the different faith societies. It was fantastic to see Jews, Muslims, Christians, Brahma Kumaris, Hindus and Humanists in conversation together, sharing their experiences and perspectives on university life. Bishop Guli spoke of her desire to establish a warm relationship with the University generally and the Centre for Faith and Spirituality particularly. She noted the importance of our learning to live well together across our differences, celebrating all we have in common.
