As part of the Living Well Together project that the St Philip's Centre is running, we facilitated a visit to the National Holocaust Centre in Laxton for 180 year five pupils from Krishna Avanti, Linden and Mayflower Primary Schools on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th June. In the morning, pupils visited the Journey exhibition, and toured the memorial gardens. In the afternoon, they heard from a Holocaust survivor. On Monday, pupils heard from Heidi Argent and on Tuesday from Robert Norton. Both shared a very moving but age appropriate testimony of their experiences, encouraging pupils to not stand by when they saw others experiencing bullying or discrimination. Robert Norton commented on the group he spoke to: "They were fantastic. They asked many, many questions- all of them relevant. Magnificent."

We are grateful to the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner from Leicestershire Police for funding this project.
