Trustees, staff and volunteers at the St Philip's Centre all received training on safeguarding Tuesday 22nd May from Cate Meredith of the NSPCC. Cate, who is a senior consultant at the NSPCC with particular responsibility for work across the VCS sector, began her day with us by discussing the responsibilities trustees have in relation to safeguarding. In the afternoon she then ran a session for staff and volunteers explaining their responsibilities and roles in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. This included discussion of scenarios and lots of opportunities for people to ask questions. We at St Philip's Centre are very grateful to Cate for her input.
