In May, we said a sad farewell to Kanta Prajapat, who has worked at St Philip’s Centre for almost 10 years.  She decided to take early retirement to spend some time looking after her grandchildren in America.

Kanta is well-known to everyone involved with the Centre.  She was often the first person to greet visitors at the door, or to serve them refreshments at events.   Although Kanta said she didn’t want a big fuss, we think she enjoyed her leaving party when many colleagues (past and present) and friends from the faith communities, came to say farewell.

Kanta wrote:  I have enjoyed working with you all on various occasions, whether it be training, school visits, road shows or the many other activities I have been involved with.  I was really touched that so many of you made it to my retirement do.  I have really enjoyed working for St Philip's Centre over the years and a big reason for that is the people I have had the fortune of meeting and working with in my time there.”

We wish Kanta all the very best for the future.
