 This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a growing inter faith charity which works with churches and a range of diverse public sector bodies such as local authorities, police, army, schools and colleges.

We are looking for an administrative assistant to provide hospitality to our visitors, organise catering for training courses and visits, provide clerical support to the Centre Support Services Manager and assist with the smooth-running of the Centre.

Hours of work:  22.5 hours per week, usually Tuesday to Thursday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm, but some flexibility on working days will be necessary.  Occasional early evening work may be required.

Salary:  £9,900 p.a.

Annual Leave:          20 days plus bank holidays (pro rata)

Senior Executive –  Independent Oversight of Review of Governance

Expressions of Interest invited

The St Philip’s Centre is currently undertaking a thorough review of its governance structure, legal constitution, aims and objectives as an organisation. This review is designated “Forward with Confidence.”

The Forward with Confidence review has been undertaken by means of a brief online survey ( and a series of one-to-one and group consultations, facilitated by the Director and Deputy Director of the Centre. As a further part of the review, the Centre is seeking expressions of interest to undertake approximately twenty days work deepening our engagement with our stakeholders.

The successful candidate will, working with the Director,

  1. Provide independent oversight of the review.
  2. Ensure the voices of all stakeholders are heard. This will include one-to-one conversations with key stakeholders, analysis of survey data and other appropriate strategies.
  3. Present an interim report to the Trustees’ meeting on Tuesday 5th September and a final, detailed report, including discussion of possible ways forward, at the Trustees’ Away Day on Monday 30th October.

The contract will end on Tuesday 31st October 2017.

Fundraising Officer

Service Specification

 The St Philip’s Centre was established in 2006, and over the past eleven years has developed a national and international reputation as a centre of excellence in interfaith resourcing and training. We work with local and national government, schools, colleges, universities, public sector organisations and a variety of faith and belief communities.

As we seek to develop and expand our work, we are looking for support in developing our fundraising and marketing strategies in order to stabilise our unrestricted income and establish revenue schemes for expanding areas of work.

We are inviting expressions of interest from an experienced fundraiser for an initial six-month contract to begin to develop the work. The ideal candidate will have public and corporate fundraising expertise within the charity sector or will have consumer/retail sales and marketing experience. We are particularly looking for individuals with a genuine interest in interfaith work in the UK. The contract is expected to run from September 2017 to February 2018, roughly equivalent to one day per week. There is a possibility of extension and development of the work after this time.

The successful candidate will work with the Director to develop a strategy for:

  1. Building relationships with philanthropists and major donors;
  2. Generating additional revenue streams;
  3. Reviewing the current Ambassadors Scheme.
