| Christian Muslim Dialogue Group | Fund Raising Dinner |
|
As those of you who were present
know, the discussion about the Archbishop and Sharia was a very
effective evening with about 90 present – approximately 50
Muslims and 40 Christians. We had the kind of sensible
discussion and mutual learning that was conspicuous by its
absence in the popular media. We hope this will lead to
newly focused meetings that follow. Please make every effort to
attend.
Every other meeting is going to have a scriptural focus. Monday 19th May 08 7.30 – 915 pm at
St Philip’s Issues and opportunities for young
people – Muslim and Christian Wednesday 25th June 08 7.30 – 9.15

best that we have had in many ways and the teamwork between
Muslims and Christians was excellent. If anyone who didn’t
attend wishes still to donate, either personally or from
their church or mosque, please make out any cheques to St
Philip’s Centre from where it will be divided equally
between the Muslim hospital project in Gujurat and the
Christian orphanage project in Please make a note in your
diaries that next year’s dinner is expected to be on

and empathy in relationships, all of which is often expressed
naturally among us as part of who we are, whether Christians or
Muslims.
Our monthly programmes are organised by a small steering
group.
Topics for discussion range from current events to
learning more about each others’ scriptures, with time for
