3 day training course Programme for 2008
This training is intended for Christians of
all denominations and those professionally involved in the
field of inter faith, but all are welcome!
WHEN?
Three courses are planned:
1. 4th – 6th March 2008
2. 10th – 12th June 2008
3. 6, 13, 20
November 2008
WHERE? St Philip’s Church,
WHY? Theologically, issues of Christian identity within a multi faith world
have always been with us, but since 9/11 and 7/7 we are
increasingly aware of the challenges in this field wherever
we live.

How can we learn from other faiths but also
be aware of our own distinctiveness?

What is an appropriate approach to mission within a multi faith world?
·
How do we account for the evident goodness and piety we see in people of
other faiths?
·
What of issues of Truth? Of Grace? Of Salvation? |

Topics to be covered: Theology,
Mission and Dialogue, Education and Chaplaincy, Pastoral and
Community Issues, Questions of Spirituality
